Obračun s farizeji in verskimi učitelji
(Marko 12,38-39; Luka 20,45-46)
1Potem je Jezus govoril množici in svojim učencem: 2“Vaši verski učitelji in farizeji vas učijo Mojzesov zakon. ▼▼V izvirniku: Na Mojzesov stol so sedli pismouki in farizeji.
3Ravnajte se po njihovih naukih! Nikakor pa jih ne jemljite za zgled! Sami namreč ne delajo, kar zahtevajo od drugih. 4Ljudem nalagajo neznosne tovore, sami pa še pomislijo ne, da bi jim pomagali nositi te tovore. 5Vse, kar delajo, delajo tako, da bi naredili dober vtis na ljudi. Na rokah nosijo široke molitvene trakove in rese na njihovih plaščih so vedno daljše. Hočejo, da bi vsi videli, kako pobožni so. 6Na vaših svečanostih hočejo sedeti na častnih mestih in na bogoslužjih imajo sedeže v prvih vrstah. 7Všeč jim je, če jih na cestah spoštljivo pozdravljate in imenujete ‘učitelje’. 8Ne nagovarjajte drug drugega tako. Samo Bog je vaš učitelj, vi pa ste med seboj bratje. 9Prav tako nikogar na zemlji ne imenujte ‘očeta’, kajti samo Boga v nebesih lahko imenujete tako. 10Prav tako ne dovolite, da vas imenujejo voditelje, ker imate samo enega Voditelja: Kristusa. 11Kdor služi drugim, bo največji med vami. 12Vsi pa, ki mislijo, da so nekaj, bodo ponižani. Kdor se poniža, tega bo Bog povišal.” Navidezna pobožnost

13“Gorje vam, farizeji in verski učitelji! Vi ste hinavci! Zaradi vas drugi ne morejo priti v Božje kraljestvo. Sami nočete vstopiti, tistim pa, ki bi to želeli, ne dovolite.14Gorje vam! Pohlepno grabite imetje vdov sebi in vaše dolge molitve niso nič drugega kakor hinavščina. Zaradi tega vas bo Bog posebno strogo kaznoval.
15Gorje vam, svetohlinci! Noben trud vam ni prevelik, da bi pridobili človeka za svoj nauk. Ko pa ste ga pridobili, naredite iz njega peklenskega otroka, ki vas še prekaša po hudobnosti.
16Gorje vam! Sami ste slepi, pa hočete voditi druge. Trdite: ‘Prisegati pri Božjem templju ne pomeni nič. To prisego lahko brez skrbi prelomite. Kdor pa prisega pri tempeljskem zlatu, mora svojo prisego držati.’ 17Slepi bedaki! Kaj je več vredno: zlato ali tempelj, ki zlato posvečuje? 18Pravite: ‘Prisega, ki jo prisežete pri oltarju, ne pomeni nič. Kdor pa priseže pri žrtvi na oltarju, mora svojo obljubo držati.’ 19Kako ste zaslepljeni! Kaj je več vredno: dar na oltarju, ali oltar, zaradi katerega je dar žrtev? 20Kdor prisega pri oltarju, prisega pri vsem, kar je na oltarju. 21Kdor prisega pri templju, se sklicuje na Boga kot pričo, ki tam prebiva. 22Kdor pa prisega pri nebu, prisega pri Božjem prestolu in s tem pri Bogu samem, ki sedi na tem prestolu.
23Gorje vam, verski učitelji in farizeji! Svetohlinci! Celo od začimb kot so meta, koper in kumina dajete Bogu deseti del. Pomembnejših Božjih zapovedi pa, kot so pravičnost, sočutje in vera, ne jemljete resno. Tu pa gre ravno za to, da izpolnimo, kar je pomembno, tistega pa, kar je postransko, da ne zanemarimo. 24Vi pa odstranjujete vsako mušico iz jedi, požirate pa cele kamele, ne da bi kaj razmišljali. Druge hočete voditi, pa ste sami slepi!
25Gorje vam, verski učitelji in farizeji! Hinavci! Na zunaj ste kot kozarci, iz katerih pijete: svetijo se, ker ste jih tako skrbno obrisali. Sicer pa je v bistvu vaše življenje polno umazanega izsiljevanja in pohlepa. 26Slepi vodniki, poskrbite najprej, da vaše življenje uredite v odnosu do Boga! Potem bo tudi vse ostalo urejeno. ▼

27Gorje vam, verski učitelji in farizeji! Takšni ste kakor skrbno urejeni grobovi: na zunaj okrašeni in urejeni, da jih človek z veseljem pogleda; znotraj pa polni smrdečih mrliških ostankov. 28Pred ljudmi se želite kazati pravične, v resnici pa ste polni hudobnosti in hinavščine.
29Gorje vam, verski učitelji in farizeji! Svetohlinci! Prerokom gradite spomenike in okrašujete grobove pravičnih. 30Domišljate si in govorite: ‘Ko bi živeli v tistih časih, ne bi morili prerokov, kot so jih naši očetje.’ 31S tem priznavate, da ste potomci tistih, ki so morili preroke. 32Da, hodite po njihovih stopinjah in ne zaostajate v hudobnosti za njimi. 33Zahrbtni zapeljivci! Kako mislite, da boste ubežali peklu? 34Poslal vam bom preroke, može polne Duha in učitelje. Nekatere boste pomorili in križali. Nekatere boste v sinagogah bičali do krvi ter jih preganjali od mesta do mesta. 35Tako ste krivi smrti vseh teh pravičnih ljudi: najprej Abela pa vse do Zaharije, sina Berehjajevega, ki ste ga umorili med oltarjem in templjem. ▼

36Povem vam, da bo kazen za vse te krivice zadela še to generacijo.” Niste hoteli!

39Povem vam, da me ne boste videli vse dotlej, dokler ne rečete: ‘Hvaljen bodi, ki prihajaš v imenu Gospodovem!’ ”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
