1Och Job hof åter upp sitt ordspråk, och sade: 2Ack! att jag vore såsom uti de förra månader, uti de dagar då Gud bevarade mig. 3Då hans lykta sken öfver mitt hufvud, och jag i mörkrena gick vid hans ljus; 4Såsom jag var i min ungdoms tid, då Guds hemlighet var öfver mina hyddo; 5Då den Allsmägtige ännu med mig var, och mine tjenare allt omkring mig; 6Då jag tvådde min väg uti smör, och hälleberget utgöt mig oljoflodar; 7Då jag utgick till stadsporten, och lät bereda mig mitt säte på gatone; 8Då mig ynglingar sågo, och undstungo sig, och de gamle uppstodo för mig; 9Då de öfverste igen vände att tala, och lade sina hand på sin mun; 10Då Förstarnas röst gömde sig undan, och deras tunga lådde vid deras gom. 11Ty hvilkens öra mig hörde, den prisade mig saligan; och hvilkens öga mig såg, den vittnade om mig. 12Förty jag halp den fattiga, som ropade, och den faderlösa, som ingen hjelpare hade. 13Dens välsignelse, som förgås skulle, kom öfver mig; och jag tröstade enkones hjerta. 14Rättfärdighet var min klädebonad, den iklädde jag såsom en kjortel; och min dom var min skrud. 15Jag var dens blindas öga, och dens haltas fot. 16Jag var de fattigas fader, och hvilken sak jag icke visste, den utfrågade jag. 17Jag sönderslog dens orättfärdigas oxlatänder, och tog rofvet utu hans tänder. 18Jag tänkte: Jag vill dö uti mitt näste, och göra mina dagar många såsom sand. 19Min säd gick upp af vätsko, och dagg blef öfver min årsväxt. 20Min härlighet förnyade sig för mig, och min båge förvandlade sig i mine hand. 21De hörde mig, och tigde; och vaktade uppå mitt råd. 22Efter min ord talade ingen mer, och mitt tal dröp på dem. 23De vaktade på mig såsom på regn, och uppgapade med munnen såsom efter aftonregn. 24Om jag log till dem, förläto de sig intet deruppå; och torde intet bedröfva mig. 25När jag ville komma till deras handlingar, så måste jag sitta främst; och bodde såsom en Konung ibland krigsfolk, då jag hugsvalade dem som sorgfulle voro.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
