Manase Mfalme Wa Yuda
(2 Nyakati 33:1-20)
1 aManase alikuwa na umri wa miaka kumi na miwili alipoanza kutawala, naye akatawala huko Yerusalemu miaka hamsini na mitano. Mama yake aliitwa Hefsiba. 2 bAkafanya maovu machoni pa Bwana, akafuata desturi za machukizo za mataifa ambayo Bwana aliyafukuza mbele ya Waisraeli. 3 cAkajenga upya mahali pa juu pa kuabudia miungu ambapo Hezekia baba yake alikuwa amepabomoa. Pia akasimamisha madhabahu za Baali na kutengeneza nguzo ya Ashera, kama Ahabu mfalme wa Israeli alivyofanya. Akalisujudia jeshi lote la angani na kuliabudu. 4 dAkajenga madhabahu katika Hekalu la Bwana, ambamo Bwana alikuwa amesema, “Katika Yerusalemu nitaliweka Jina langu.” 5 eKatika nyua zote mbili za Hekalu la Bwana, akajenga madhabahu kwa ajili ya jeshi lote la angani. 6 fAkamtoa kafara mwanawe mwenyewe katika moto, akafanya uchawi na uaguzi, na akataka shauri kwa wapiga ramli na kwa mizimu. Akafanya maovu mengi sana machoni mwa Bwana na kumghadhibisha.7 gAkachukua nguzo ya Ashera aliyoichonga na kuiweka katika Hekalu, ambalo Bwana alikuwa amemwambia Daudi na mwanawe Solomoni, “Katika Hekalu hili na katika Yerusalemu niliouchagua kutoka kabila zote za Israeli, nitaliweka Jina langu milele. 8 hSitaifanya tena miguu ya Waisraeli itangetange kutoka nchi niliyowapa baba zao, ikiwa watakuwa waangalifu kufanya kila kitu nilichowaamuru, na kuishika Sheria yote ambayo walipewa na Mose mtumishi wangu.” 9 iLakini hawa watu hawakusikiliza. Manase akawapotosha, hivyo kwamba walifanya maovu mengi kuliko mataifa ambayo Bwana aliyaangamiza mbele ya Waisraeli.
10 Bwana akasema kupitia watumishi wake manabii: 11 j“Manase mfalme wa Yuda ametenda dhambi hizi za kuchukiza. Amefanya maovu mengi kuliko Waamori waliokuwepo kabla yake, na ameiongoza Yuda katika dhambi kwa sanamu zake. 12 kKwa hiyo hili ndilo asemalo Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli: Nitaleta maafa makubwa juu ya Yerusalemu na Yuda, kiasi kwamba masikio ya kila mmoja atakayesikia habari zake yatawasha. 13 lNitanyoosha juu ya Yerusalemu kamba ya kupimia iliyotumika dhidi ya Samaria, na timazi iliyotumika dhidi ya nyumba ya Ahabu. Nitaifutilia mbali Yerusalemu kama mtu afutaye sahani, nikiifuta na kuifunikiza. 14 mNitawakataa mabaki wa urithi wangu na kuwatia mikononi mwa adui zao. Watapokonywa mali zao na kutekwa nyara na adui zao wote, 15 nkwa sababu wametenda uovu machoni pangu na kunighadhibisha tangu siku baba zao walipotoka Misri mpaka siku ya leo.”
16 oZaidi ya hayo, Manase pia alimwaga damu nyingi isiyo na hatia, hivi kwamba aliijaza Yerusalemu kutoka mwanzo hadi mwisho, mbali na dhambi ambayo alikuwa amesababisha Yuda kufanya, na hivyo wakatenda maovu machoni pa Bwana.
17Matukio mengine ya utawala wa Manase, na yote aliyoyafanya, pamoja na dhambi alizotenda, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Yuda? 18 pManase akalala pamoja na baba zake na akazikwa katika bustani ya jumba lake la kifalme, katika bustani ya Uza. Naye Amoni mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.

19Amoni alikuwa na miaka ishirini na miwili alipoanza kutawala, naye akatawala huko Yerusalemu kwa miaka miwili. Mamaye aliitwa Meshulemethi binti Haruzi, kutoka Yotba. 20 qAkatenda maovu machoni mwa Bwana, kama baba yake Manase alivyofanya. 21Akaenenda katika njia zote za baba yake, akaabudu sanamu ambazo baba yake aliziabudu na kuzisujudia. 22 rAkamwacha Bwana, Mungu wa baba zake, wala hakuenenda katika njia za Bwana.23Watumishi wa Amoni wakafanya fitina juu yake, nao wakamuulia kwake nyumbani. 24Kisha watu wa nchi wakawaua wale wote waliokuwa wamefanya hila dhidi ya Mfalme Amoni. Wakamfanya Yosia mwanawe kuwa mfalme mahali pake.
25Matukio mengine ya utawala wa Amoni na yale aliyoyafanya, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Yuda? 26Akazikwa kwenye kaburi lake katika bustani ya Uza. Naye Yosia mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
