Ang Paghahanda sa Pagkuha ng Kahon ng Kasunduan
1Nagpatayo si David ng mga gusali sa kanyang lungsod ▼▼kanyang lungsod: sa Hebreo, Lungsod ni David.
para sa sarili niya. Nagpagawa rin siya ng tolda para sa Kahon ng Dios, at inilagay niya ito nang maayos sa lugar na kanyang inihanda para rito. 2Pagkatapos, sinabi ni David, “Walang ibang tagabuhat ng Kahon ng Dios maliban sa mga Levita, dahil sila ang pinili ng Panginoon na magbuhat ng Kahon ng Panginoon at maglingkod sa presensya niya magpakailanman.” 3Tinipon ni David ang lahat ng mga Israelita sa Jerusalem na magdadala ng Kahon ng Panginoon sa lugar na inihanda niya para rito. 4Ipinatawag din niya ang mga pari ▼▼mga pari: sa literal, mga angkan ni Aaron.
at mga Levita, na ang mga bilang ay ito: 5Mula sa mga angkan ni Kohat, 120, at pinamumunuan sila ni Uriel.
6Mula sa mga angkan ni Merari, 220, at pinamumunuan sila ni Asaya.

130, at pinamumunuan sila ni Joel. 8Mula sa angkan ni Elizafan, 200, at pinamumunuan sila ni Shemaya.
9Mula sa mga angkan ni Hebron, 80, at pinamumunuan sila ni Eliel.
10Mula sa mga angkan ni Uziel, 112, at pinamumunuan sila ni Aminadab.
11Pagkatapos, ipinatawag ni David ang mga paring sina Zadok at Abiatar at ang mga Levitang sina Uriel, Asaya, Joel, Shemaya, Eliel at Aminadab. 12Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Kayo ang mga pinuno ng mga pamilyang Levita. Linisin nʼyo ang inyong mga sarili ▼
▼Linisin … sarili: Ang ibig sabihin, sundin nʼyo ang seremonya ng paglilinis. Ganito rin sa talatang 14.
at ganoon din ang mga kapwa nʼyo Levita, para madala ninyo ang Kahon ng Panginoon, ang Dios ng Israel, sa lugar na inihanda ko para rito. 13Dahil noong una hindi kayo ang nagdala ng Kahon ng Kasunduan. Pinarusahan tayo ng Panginoon na ating Dios dahil hindi tayo nagtanong sa kanya kung paano ito dadalhin sa tamang paraan.” 14Kaya nilinis ng mga pari at mga Levita ang kanilang sarili para madala nila ang Kahon ng Panginoon, ang Dios ng Israel. 15Pinagtulungang pasanin ng mga Levita ang Kahon ng Dios sa pamamagitan ng tukod, ayon sa iniutos ng Panginoon kay Moises.
16Inutusan ni David ang mga pinuno ng mga Levita na pumili ng mang-aawit mula sa kapwa nila Levita, sa pag-awit ng masasayang awitin na tinugtugan ng mga lira, alpa at pompyang. 17Kaya pinili ng mga Levita si Heman na anak ni Joel, si Asaf na anak ni Berekia, at si Etan na anak ni Kusaya na mula sa angkan ni Merari. 18Ang piniling tutulong sa kanila ay ang mga kamag-anak nilang sina Zacarias, Jaaziel, Shemiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaya, Maaseya, Matitia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, at ang mga guwardya ng pintuan ng Tolda na sina Obed Edom at Jeyel. 19Ang pinagkatiwalaang tumugtog ng mga tansong pompyang ay sina Heman, Asaf at Etan. 20Ang pinagkatiwalaang tumugtog ng mga lira sa mataas na tono ay sina Zacarias, Aziel, Shemiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maaseya at Benaya. 21Ang pinagkatiwalaang tumugtog ng mga alpa sa mababang tono ay sina Matitia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, Obed Edom, Jeyel at Azazia. 22Ang pinagkatiwalaang manguna sa pag-awit ay ang pinuno ng mga Levita na si Kenania, dahil mahusay siyang umawit. 23Ang pinagkatiwalaang magbantay ng Kahon ng Kasunduan ay sina Berekia at Elkana. 24Ang pinagkatiwalaang magpatunog ng trumpeta sa harapan ng Kahon ng Dios ay ang mga pari na sina Shebania, Joshafat, Netanel, Amasai, Zacarias, Benaya at Eliezer. Sina Obed Edom at Jehia ay mga tagapagbantay din sa Kahon ng Kasunduan.

25Kaya masayang pumunta si David, ang mga tagapamahala ng Israel, at ang mga pinuno ng libu-libong sundalo sa bahay ni Obed Edom para kunin ang Kahon ng Kasunduan ng Panginoon. 26At dahil tinulungan ng Dios ang mga Levita nang dalhin nila ang Kahon ng Kasunduan ng Panginoon, naghandog sila ng pitong batang toro at pitong tupa. 27Nagsuot si David ng damit na gawa sa telang linen pati ang lahat ng Levitang bumubuhat ng Kahon ng Kasunduan, ang mga mang-aawit, at si Kenania na siyang pinagkatiwalaang manguna sa pag-awit. Nagsuot din si David ng espesyal na damit ▼▼espesyal na damit: sa Hebreo, “efod.”

Pinatunog nila ang mga tambuli, trumpeta at pompyang; at pinatugtog ang mga lira at mga alpa. 29Nang papasok na ang Kahon ng Kasunduan ng Panginoon sa Lungsod ni David, dumungaw sa bintana si Mical na anak ni Saul. At nang makita niya si Haring David na sumasayaw sa tuwa, kinamuhian niya siya.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
