Tinangkang Patayin ni Saul si David
1Minsan, sinabi ni Saul kay Jonatan at sa lahat ng lingkod niya na patayin si David. Pero mahal ni Jonatan si David, 2kaya binigyan niya ng babala si David. Sinabi niya, “Naghahanap ng pagkakataon ang aking ama para patayin ka, kaya mag-ingat ka. Bukas maghanap ka ng mapagtataguan at huwag kang aalis doon. 3Dadalhin ko roon ang aking ama at kakausapin ko siya tungkol sa iyo. Pagkatapos, sasabihin ko sa iyo ang napag-usapan namin.”4 Kinaumagahan, kinausap ni Jonatan si Saul tungkol kay David doon sa bukid at pinuri niya ito sa harap ng kanyang ama. At sinabi, “Ama, ▼

huwag nʼyo pong saktan si David na inyong lingkod dahil wala siyang ginawang masama sa inyo. Nakagawa pa nga po siya ng malaking kabutihan sa inyo. 5Itinaya po niya ang kanyang buhay nang patayin niya ang Filisteo na si Goliat at pinagtagumpay ng Panginoon ang buong Israel. Nasaksihan nʼyo ito at natuwa kayo. Pero bakit gusto nʼyo pang ipapatay ang isang inosenteng tao na katulad ni David nang walang dahilan?” 6Pinakinggan ni Saul si Jonatan at sumumpa siya sa pangalan ng Panginoon na buhay na hindi na niya ipapapatay si David. 7Ipinatawag ni Jonatan si David at sinabi niya rito ang lahat ng pinag-usapan nila ni Saul. Dinala ni Jonatan si David kay Saul, at muling pinaglingkuran ni David si Saul gaya nang dati.
8Muling naglaban ang mga Filisteo at mga Israelita, at buong lakas na pinamunuan ni David ang mga tauhan niya sa pakikipaglaban. Sinalakay nila David nang buong lakas ang mga Filisteo kaya natalo ang mga ito at nagsitakas.
9Isang araw, habang nakaupo si Saul sa kanyang bahay at may hawak na sibat, sinaniban na naman siya ng masamang espiritu na ipinadala ng Panginoon. Habang tumutugtog si David ng alpa, 10sinubukang itusok ni Saul si David sa dingding sa pamamagitan ng pagsibat dito pero nakaiwas si David. Kinagabihan, tumakas si David.
11Nagpadala naman ng mga tauhan si Saul para magmanman sa bahay ni David at para patayin ito kinaumagahan. Pero binalaan si David ng kanyang asawang si Mical, “Kung hindi ka tatakas ngayong gabi, papatayin ka bukas.” 12Kaya tinulungan niyang makababa si David sa bintana, at tumakas si David. 13Kumuha naman si Mical ng isang dios-diosan, at inihiga sa kama. Kinumutan niya ito, at binalot ng balahibo ng kambing ang ulo nito.
14Nang dumating ang mga taong ipinadala ni Saul para hulihin si David, sinabi sa kanila ni Mical na may sakit ito at hindi kayang bumangon sa higaan. 15Nang ibinalita nila ito kay Saul, pinabalik sila ni Saul para tingnan nila mismo si David, at sinabihan ng ganito, “Dalhin ninyo siya sa akin na nakahiga sa kanyang higaan para mapatay ko siya.” 16Pero nang pumasok sila sa bahay ni David, nakita nila na ang nakahiga ay isang dios-diosan na may balahibo ng kambing sa ulo.
17Sinabi ni Saul kay Mical, “Bakit mo ako niloko, at pinatakas ang aking kaaway?” Sumagot si Mical, “Sinabi niya sa akin na papatayin niya ako kapag hindi ko siya tinulungang makatakas.”
18Nang makatakas si David, pumunta siya kay Samuel sa Rama at sinabi niya ang lahat ng ginawa ni Saul sa kanya. Pagkatapos nito, pumunta sila ni Samuel sa Nayot at doon nanirahan.
19Nabalitaan ni Saul na si David ay nasa Nayot sa Rama, 20kaya nagpadala siya ng mga tauhan para hulihin si David. Pagdating nila roon, nakita nila ang mga propetang nagpapahayag ng mensahe ng Dios at pinangungunahan ni Samuel. Pagkatapos, napuspos ng Espiritu ng Dios ang mga tauhan ni Saul at nagpahayag din sila ng mensahe ng Dios. 21Nang marinig ni Saul ang nangyari, muli siyang nagpadala ng mga tauhan para hulihin si David. Pero pagdating nila doon, ganoon din ang nangyari, nagpahayag din ang mga ito ng mensahe ng Dios. Muling nagpadala si Saul ng mga tauhan sa ikatlong pagkakataon pero ganoon din ang nangyari sa mga ito. 22Sa bandang huli, si Saul na mismo ang pumunta sa Rama. Pagdating niya sa malaking balon ng Secu, nagtanung-tanong siya kung nasaan sina Samuel at David. Sinabi sa kanya na nasa Nayot sila. 23Kaya pumunta si Saul sa Nayot. Pero habang nasa daan, pinuspos rin siya ng Espiritu ng Dios at nagpahayag din siya ng mensahe ng Dios hanggang sa makarating siya sa Nayot. 24Nang naroon na siya, hinubad niya ang kanyang damit at nagpahayag ng mensahe ng Dios sa harapan ni Samuel. Nahiga siya nang nakahubad buong araw at gabi. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit nagtatanong ang mga tao, “Naging propeta na rin ba si Saul?”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
