Muling Kinaawaan ni David si Saul
1 Isang araw, may pumuntang mga taga-Zif kay Saul sa Gibea at nagsabi, “Nagtatago po si David sa kaburulan ng Hakila, na nasa harap ng Jeshimon.” 2Kaya umalis si Saul patungo sa ilang ng Zif kasama ang 3,000 na kanyang piniling tauhan mula sa Israel para hanapin si David. 3Nagkampo sila sa tabi ng daan sa kaburulan ng Hakila, na nasa harap ng Jeshimon. Si David ay nagtatago sa disyerto. Nang mabalitaan ni David na nasundan siya doon ni Saul, 4nagpadala siya ng mga espiya at nalaman niyang dumating nga si Saul.5Pagkatapos, naghanda si David at pumunta sa kampo ni Saul. Nakita niya si Saul at si Abner na anak ni Ner na pinuno ng hukbo ng mga sundalo. Napapalibutan si Saul ng mga natutulog na sundalo na natutulog. 6Tinanong ni David si Ahimelec na Heteo at si Abishai na anak ni Zeruya at kapatid ni Joab, “Sino sa inyo ang sasama sa akin para pumasok sa kampo ni Saul?” Sumagot si Abishai, “Ako po, sasama ako sa inyo.” 7Kaya pinasok nina David at Abishai ang kampo ni Saul, at natagpuan nila itong natutulog, na ang sibat ay nakatusok sa lupa sa ulunan ni Saul. 8Sinabi ni Abishai kay David, “Sa araw na ito, ipinagkaloob sa inyo ng Dios ang tagumpay laban sa inyong kaaway. Payagan nʼyo akong saksakin siya ng sibat na iyon at nang mabaon hanggang sa lupa. Isang saksak ko lang sa kanya at hindi na kailangang ulitin.” 9Pero sinabi ni David kay Abishai, “Huwag mo siyang patayin! Parurusahan ng Panginoon ang sinumang papatay sa kanyang piniling hari. 10Sinisiguro ko sa iyo, sa presensya ng buhay na Panginoon, na ang Panginoon mismo ang papatay sa kanya, o mamamatay siya sa digmaan o dahil sa katandaan. 11Pero huwag sanang ipahintulot ng Panginoon na ako ang pumatay sa kanyang piniling hari. Kunin na lang natin ang sibat at ang lalagyan niya ng tubig na nasa kanyang ulunan at umalis na tayo.” 12Kaya kinuha ni David ang sibat at ang lalagyan ng tubig na nasa ulunan ni Saul at umalis na sila. Nakaalis sila nang walang nakakaalam o nakakakita sa nangyari; walang nagising sa kanila dahil pinahimbing ng Panginoon ang kanilang pagtulog.
13Pagkatapos, umakyat sina David sa burol na nasa kabilang gilid ng kampo hanggang sa di-kalayuan. 14Sumigaw si David kay Abner na anak ni Ner at sa mga kasama niyang sundalo, “Abner, naririnig mo ba ako?” Sumagot si Abner, “Sino ka? Ano ang kailangan mo sa hari?” 15Sumagot si David, “Hindi baʼt ikaw ang pinakamagiting na lalaki sa buong Israel? Bakit hindi mo binantayang mabuti ang hari na iyong amo? May nakapasok diyan para patayin siya. 16Hindi tamang pabayaan mo ang hari! Isinusumpa ko sa buhay na Panginoon, dapat kang mamatay pati na ang mga tauhan mo dahil hindi ninyo binantayan ang inyong amo, ang haring pinili ng Panginoon. Tingnan nʼyo nga kung makikita pa ninyo ang sibat at lalagyan ng tubig na nasa ulunan niya?” 17Nakilala ni Saul ang boses ni David, kaya sinabi niya, “David, anak, ikaw ba iyan?” Sumagot si David, “Ako nga po, Mahal na Hari. 18Bakit ninyo hinahabol ang inyong lingkod? Ano ba ang ginawa kong masama? 19Mahal na Hari, pakinggan ninyo ang sasabihin ko. Kung ang Panginoon ang nag-udyok sa inyo para patayin ako, tanggapin sana niya ang aking handog. Pero kung galing lang ito sa tao, sumpain sana sila ng Panginoon. Dahil itinaboy nila ako mula sa aking tahanan at inutusang sumamba sa ibang mga dios. 20Huwag sanang ipahintulot na mamatay ako sa ibang lupain, na malayo sa Panginoon. Bakit ako pinag-aaksayahang habulin ng hari ng Israel, gayong tulad lang ako ng pulgas? Bakit ninyo ako hinahabol na gaya lang ng ibon sa kabundukan?”
21Sinabi ni Saul, “Nagkasala ako. Bumalik ka na, David anak ko, at hindi ko na tatangkaing saktan ka dahil hindi mo ako pinatay ngayong araw na ito. Naging isa akong hangal dahil sa ginawa ko. Napakalaki ng aking kasalanan.” 22Sumagot si David, “Narito na ang sibat ninyo, ipakuha ninyo sa inyong tauhan. 23May gantimpala ang Panginoon sa mga taong matapat at gumagawa ng matuwid. Ibinigay kayo ng Panginoon sa aking mga kamay sa araw na ito, pero tumanggi akong patayin kayo dahil kayo ang piniling hari ng Panginoon. 24Binigyan ko ng halaga ang buhay ninyo ngayon at sanaʼy bigyan din ng halaga ng Panginoon ang buhay ko at iligtas niya ako sa lahat ng kapahamakan.” 25Sinabi ni Saul kay David, “Pagpalain ka, anak ko. Marami pang dakilang bagay ang gagawin mo at siguradong magtatagumpay ka.” Pagkatapos, umalis si David at umuwi naman si Saul.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
