Ang Pagparusa sa Egipto
1Sinabi ng Panginoon sa akin, 2“Anak ng tao, sabihin mo ang ipinapasabi ko sa mga taga-Egipto. Sabihin mong ako, ang Panginoong Dios, ay nagsasabi: Umiyak kayo nang malakas dahil sa kapahamakang darating sa inyo. 3Sapagkat malapit nang dumating ang araw na iyon, ang araw ng paghatol ng Panginoon. Magiging maulap at madilim ang araw na iyon para sa mga bansa. 4Sasalakayin ang Egipto at maghihirap ang Etiopia. ▼▼Etiopia: sa Hebreo, Cush. Ganito rin sa talatang 5 at 9.
Maraming mamamatay na taga-Egipto, sasamsamin ang mga kayamanan nila at wawasakin ito. 5Sa digmaang iyon, mapapatay ang maraming taga-Etiopia, Put, Lydia, Arabia, Libya at iba pang mga bansang kakampi ng Egipto. 6Ako, ang Panginoong Dios ay nagsasabing, mapapahamak ang mga kakampi ng Egipto at mababalewala ang ipinagmamalaki niyang kapangyarihan. Mamamatay ang mga mamamayan niya mula sa Migdol hanggang sa Aswan. ▼▼Aswan: o, Seyene.
7Magiging mapanglaw ang Egipto sa lahat ng bansa at ang mga lungsod niya ang magiging pinakawasak sa lahat ng lungsod. 8Kapag sinunog ko na ang Egipto at mamatay ang lahat ng kakampi niya, malalaman nila na ako ang Panginoon. 9“Sa panahong iyon, magsusugo ako ng mga tagapagbalita na sasakay sa mga barko para takutin ang mga taga-Etiopia na hindi nababahala. Matatakot sila sa oras na mawasak ang Egipto, at ang oras na iyon ay tiyak na darating.”
10Sinabi pa ng Panginoong Dios, “Gagamitin ko si Haring Nebucadnezar ng Babilonia para patayin ang mga mamamayan ng Egipto. 11Siya at ang mga sundalo niya, na siyang pinakamalulupit na sundalo sa lahat ng bansa ang ipapadala ko sa Egipto para wasakin ito. Lulusubin nila ito at kakalat ang mga bangkay sa buong lupain. 12Patutuyuin ko ang Ilog ng Nilo at ipapasakop ko ang Egipto sa masasamang tao. Wawasakin ko ang buong bansa ng Egipto at ang lahat ng naroon sa pamamagitan ng mga dayuhan. Ako, ang Panginoon, ang nagsasabi nito.”
13Sinabi pa ng Panginoong Dios, “Wawasakin ko ang mga dios-diosan sa Memfis. ▼

Wala nang mamumuno sa Egipto at tatakutin ko ang mga mamamayan nito. 14Gagawin kong mapanglaw ang Patros, susunugin ko ang Zoan at parurusahan ko ang Tebes. ▼▼Tebes: sa Hebreo, No. Ganito rin sa 15-16.
15Ibubuhos ko ang galit ko sa Pelosium, ▼▼Pelosium: sa Hebreo, Sin. Ganito rin sa talatang 16.
ang matibay na tanggulan ng Egipto, at papatayin ko ang maraming taga-Tebes. 16Susunugin ko ang Egipto! Magtitiis ng hirap ang Pelosium. Mawawasak ang Tebes, at laging matatakot ang Memfis. 17Mamamatay sa digmaan ang mga kabataang lalaki ng Heliopolis ▼▼Heliopolis: sa Hebreo, Awen.

at ang mga matitirang tao sa mga lungsod na itoʼy bibihagin. 18Kapag inalis ko na ang kapangyarihan ng Egipto, magiging madilim ang araw na iyon para sa Tapanhes. Mawawala na ang ipinagmamalaking kapangyarihan ng Egipto. Matatakpan siya ng ulap, at ang mga mamamayan sa mga lungsod niya ay bibihagin. 19Ganyan ang magiging parusa ko sa Egipto at malalaman ng mga mamamayan niya na ako ang Panginoon.” 20At noong ikapitong araw ng unang buwan, nang ika-11 taon ng aming pagkabihag, sinabi ng Panginoon sa akin, 21“Anak ng tao, binali ko ang braso ng Faraon na hari ng Egipto. Walang gumamot sa kanya para gumaling at lumakas upang muling makahawak ng espada. 22Kaya sabihin mo sa kanya na ako, ang Panginoong Dios ay nagsasabing laban ako sa kanya. Babaliin ko ang isa pa niyang braso para mabitawan niya ang kanyang espada. 23Ikakalat ko ang mga taga-Egipto sa ibaʼt ibang bansa. 24Palalakasin ko ang mga braso ng hari ng Babilonia at pahahawakan ko sa kanya ang aking espada. Pero babaliin ko ang mga braso ng Faraon, at dadaing siyang sugatan at halos mamatay na sa harap ng hari ng Babilonia. 25Palalakasin ko ang mga braso ng hari ng Babilonia, pero gagawin kong inutil ang mga braso ng Faraon. Kapag ipinahawak ko ang aking espada sa hari ng Babilonia at gamitin niya ito laban sa Egipto, malalaman ng mga taga-Egipto na ako ang Panginoon. 26Pangangalatin ko ang mga taga-Egipto sa lahat ng bansa at malalaman nila na ako ang Panginoon.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
