Malapit na ang Katapusan ng Israel
1Sinabi sa akin ng Panginoon, 2“Anak ng tao, ako, ang Panginoong Dios, ay nagsasabi sa bansang Israel, ‘Ito na ang katapusan ng buong lupain ng Israel. 3Katapusan na ninyo, dahil ipadarama ko na ang galit ko. Hahatulan ko kayo ayon sa pamumuhay ninyo at pagbabayarin ko na kayo ayon sa lahat ng kasuklam-suklam na ginawa ninyo. 4Hindi ko na kayo kahahabagan. Hahatulan ko kayo sa inyong pamumuhay at sa inyong kasuklam-suklam na ginawa, para malaman ninyo na ako ang Panginoon.’5“Ako, ang Panginoong Dios, ay nagsasabi: Darating sa inyo ang sunod-sunod na kapahamakan. 6Ito na ang wakas! Ang katapusan ninyo, 7kayong mga nakatira sa lupain ng Israel. Dumating na sa inyo ang kapahamakan. Malapit na ang oras na magkakagulo kayo. Tapos na ang maliligayang araw ninyo sa mga kabundukan. 8Hindi magtatagal at ipadarama ko na sa inyo ang matindi kong galit. Hahatulan ko kayo ayon sa pamumuhay ninyo, at pagbabayarin ko kayo sa mga kasuklam-suklam na ginawa ninyo. 9Hindi ko kayo kahahabagan. Pagbabayarin ko kayo ayon sa inyong pamumuhay at sa mga kasuklam-suklam na ginawa ninyo. At ditoʼy malalaman ninyong ako, ang Panginoon, ang nagparusa sa inyo.
10“Malapit na ang araw ng pagpaparusa. Darating na ang kapahamakan. Sukdulan na ang kasamaan at kayabangan ng mga tao. 11Ang kalupitan nilaʼy babalik sa kanila bilang parusa sa kasamaan nila. Walang matitira sa kanila, pati ang lahat ng kayamanan nila ay mawawala. 12Oo, malapit na ang araw ng pagpaparusa. Hindi na ikatutuwa ng mga mamimili ang naitawad nila at hindi na rin malulungkot ang mga naluging nagbebenta, dahil mararanasan ng lahat ang galit ko. 13Kung may mga nagbebenta mang makakabawi, hindi na sila makakabalik sa pagtitinda dahil ang mga sinabi ko tungkol sa buong bansa ng Israel ay hindi na mababago. Hindi maililigtas ng bawat gumagawa ng kasamaan ang kanyang buhay. 14Kahit na hipan pa nila ang trumpeta para ihanda ang lahat sa pakikipaglaban, wala ring pupunta sa labanan, dahil mararanasan ng lahat ang galit ko.
15“Ang sinumang lalabas ng lungsod ay mamamatay sa digmaan. Ang mananatili naman sa loob ng lungsod ay mamamatay sa sakit at gutom. 16Ang mga makakaligtas sa kamatayan at tatakas papunta sa mga bundok ay iiyak doon na parang huni ng kalapati, dahil sa kani-kanilang kasalanan. 17Manghihina ang mga kamay nila at mangangatog ang kanilang mga tuhod. 18Magsusuot sila ng damit na sako at aahitin ang kanilang buhok para ipahayag ang kanilang pagdadalamhati. Takot at kahihiyan ang makikita sa mukha nila. 19Itatapon nila sa mga lansangan ang mga pilak at ginto nila na parang maruruming bagay. Hindi sila maililigtas ng mga ito sa araw na ipadama ko ang aking poot. Hindi rin nila ito makakain para mabusog sila dahil ito ang dahilan kung bakit sila nagkasala. 20Ipinagmamalaki nila ang mga naggagandahan nilang hiyas na siyang ginamit nila para gumawa ng mga kasuklam-suklam na dios-diosan. Kaya gagawin kong marumi ang mga bagay na ito para sa kanila. 21Ipapasamsam ko ito sa masasamang dayuhan at dudungisan nila ito. 22Pababayaan kong lapastanganin nila at nakawan ang aking templo. Papasukin at lalapastanganin ito ng mga magnanakaw.
23“Bibihagin ang aking mga mamamayan dahil puro patayan at puno ng kaguluhan ang kanilang lungsod. 24Ipakakamkam ko sa mga masasamang bansa ang mga bahay nila. Tatapusin ko ang pagmamataas ng kanilang mga makapangyarihang tao, ▼

at ipalalapastangan ko ang mga sambahan nila. 25Darating sa kanila ang takot at maghahanap sila ng kapayapaan pero hindi nila ito matatagpuan. 26Darating sa kanila ang sunud-sunod na panganib at masasamang balita. Magtatanong sila sa mga propeta, pero wala silang matatanggap na kasagutan. Magpapaturo sila sa mga pari at hihingi ng payo sa mga tagapamahala, pero hindi sila tuturuan at papayuhan. 27Magdadalamhati ang hari at mawawalan ng pag-asa ang mga tagapamahala niya. Ang mga taoʼy manginginig sa takot. Parurusahan ko sila ayon sa kanilang pamumuhay. Hahatulan ko sila kung paano nila hinatulan ang iba. At malalaman nila na ako ang Panginoon.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
