ดาวิดกำชับโซโลมอน
(1พศด.29:26-28)
1เมื่อดาวิดใกล้จะสิ้นพระชนม์ พระองค์ทรงกำชับโซโลมอนโอรสของพระองค์ว่า2“พ่อกำลังจะจากไปตามธรรมดาโลก ฉะนั้นเจ้าจงเข้มแข็งและเป็นชายชาตรี 3จงรักษาข้อกำหนดที่พระเจ้าพระยาห์เวห์ทรงวางไว้ ดำเนินในทางของพระองค์และปฏิบัติตามกฎหมาย พระบัญชา บทบัญญัติ และข้อกำหนดของพระองค์ ตามที่บันทึกไว้ในบทบัญญัติของโมเสส เพื่อเจ้าจะเจริญก้าวหน้า ไม่ว่าจะไปที่ไหนหรือทำสิ่งใด 4และเพื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงทำตามพระสัญญาที่พระองค์ทรงให้ไว้กับพ่อว่า ‘หากลูกหลานของเจ้าระมัดระวังวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตของตน ซื่อสัตย์ภักดีต่อเราสุดใจสุดวิญญาณแล้ว เจ้าจะไม่ขาดคนครองบัลลังก์อิสราเอลเลย’
5“นี่แน่ะ! ลูกเองก็รู้สิ่งที่โยอาบบุตรนางเศรุยาห์ทำกับพ่อ ที่เขาได้ฆ่าแม่ทัพอิสราเอลสองนายคือ อับเนอร์บุตรเนอร์และอามาสาบุตรเยเธอร์ ทำให้เขาทั้งสองหลั่งเลือดในยามสงบราวกับยามศึก โลหิตจึงแปดเปื้อนผ้าคาดเอวและรองเท้าของโยอาบ 6ลูกจงใช้สติปัญญาจัดการกับเขา อย่าปล่อยให้เขาแก่ตายอย่างสงบ
7“แต่จงแสดงความกรุณาแก่ลูกๆ ของบารซิลลัยแห่งกิเลอาด และให้เขามาร่วมโต๊ะเสวยด้วย พวกเขาอยู่ฝ่ายพ่อเมื่อพ่อหนีอับซาโลมพี่ชายของเจ้าไป
8“และก็อย่าลืมชิเมอีบุตรเกราคนเบนยามินจากบาฮูริม ผู้ซึ่งแช่งด่าพ่ออย่างเจ็บแสบตอนที่พ่อไปยังมาหะนาอิม เมื่อเขาลงมาต้อนรับพ่อที่จอร์แดน พ่อก็ได้สาบานกับเขาโดยอ้างองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า ‘เราจะไม่ฆ่าเจ้าด้วยดาบ’ 9แต่บัดนี้อย่าถือว่าเขาพ้นผิด ลูกเป็นคนฉลาดย่อมรู้ว่าจะจัดการกับเขาอย่างไร จงประหารเขาเสีย”
10จากนั้นดาวิดก็ทรงล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษ และถูกฝังไว้ในเมืองดาวิด 11ดาวิดทรงปกครองอิสราเอลเป็นเวลา 40 ปี ปกครองในเมืองเฮโบรน 7 ปี และในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มอีก 33 ปี 12โซโลมอนจึงขึ้นครองบัลลังก์ของดาวิดราชบิดา และรัชกาลของพระองค์มั่นคงเป็นปึกแผ่น

13ฝ่ายอาโดนียาห์โอรสของพระนางฮักกีทมาเข้าเฝ้าพระนางบัทเชบาราชมารดาของโซโลมอน พระนางตรัสว่า “เจ้ามาอย่างสันติหรือ?”อาโดนียาห์ทูลว่า “ข้าพระบาทมาอย่างสันติ” 14เขากล่าวอีกว่า “ข้าพระบาทมีเรื่องมากราบทูล”
พระนางตรัสว่า “พูดไปเถิด”
15อาโดนียาห์ทูลว่า “ตามที่ทรงทราบดีว่าราชอาณาจักรเป็นของข้าพระบาท อิสราเอลทั้งปวงล้วนคาดหมายว่าข้าพระบาทจะได้เป็นกษัตริย์ แต่เหตุการณ์กลับตาลปัตร ราชอาณาจักรตกเป็นของน้องชายแทน เพราะการนี้เป็นมาจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 16บัดนี้ข้าพระบาทมีสิ่งหนึ่งจะทูลขอ ขออย่าทรงปฏิเสธเลย”
พระนางตรัสว่า “พูดมาเถิด”
17อาโดนียาห์ทูลว่า “โปรดทูลกษัตริย์โซโลมอน เพราะพระองค์จะไม่ทรงปฏิเสธพระนาง ขอพระราชทานอาบีชากชาวชูเนมให้เป็นภรรยาของข้าพระบาทด้วยเถิด”
18บัทเชบาตรัสว่า “ตกลง เราจะไปขอกษัตริย์ให้”
19เมื่อบัทเชบาเข้าพบกษัตริย์โซโลมอนเพื่อทูลขอให้อาโดนียาห์ กษัตริย์ก็ทรงยืนขึ้นต้อนรับและหมอบคำนับ แล้วประทับบนบัลลังก์ ทรงให้ยกพระแท่นมาถวายราชมารดา พระนางจึงประทับเบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์
20พระนางตรัสว่า “แม่จะขออะไรสักอย่างหนึ่ง อย่าปฏิเสธแม่เลย”
กษัตริย์ตรัสตอบว่า “เสด็จแม่บอกมาเถิด ลูกไม่ปฏิเสธอยู่แล้ว”
21พระนางจึงตรัสว่า “ขอยกอาบีชากชาวชูเนมให้แต่งงานกับอาโดนียาห์พี่ชายของลูก”
22กษัตริย์โซโลมอนตรัสตอบราชมารดาว่า “ทำไมเสด็จแม่ขออาบีชากชาวชูเนมให้อาโดนียาห์? ขอราชบัลลังก์ให้เขาด้วยสิเพราะเขาเป็นพี่ชายของลูก ปุโรหิตอาบียาธาร์และโยอาบบุตรนางเศรุยาห์ก็เป็นฝ่ายเขา!”
23แล้วกษัตริย์โซโลมอนตรัสปฏิญาณโดยอ้างองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า “ขอพระเจ้าทรงจัดการกับเราอย่างรุนแรงที่สุด หากอาโดนียาห์ไม่ชดใช้ด้วยชีวิตที่บังอาจขอเช่นนี้! 24องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงสถาปนาเราไว้บนบัลลังก์ของเสด็จพ่อดาวิด และทรงตั้งราชวงศ์ขึ้นเพื่อเราตามที่ทรงสัญญาไว้ ดังนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด อาโดนียาห์จะต้องตายในวันนี้ฉันนั้น!” 25กษัตริย์โซโลมอนจึงตรัสสั่งเบไนยาห์บุตรเยโฮยาดา เขาก็ไปประหารชีวิตอาโดนียาห์
26กษัตริย์ตรัสกับปุโรหิตอาบียาธาร์ว่า “จงกลับไปยังที่ของท่านในอานาโธท ท่านสมควรตาย แต่เราจะไม่ประหารท่านเวลานี้ เพราะท่านได้หามหีบพันธสัญญาของพระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตในรัชกาลเสด็จพ่อของเรา และท่านได้ร่วมทุกข์ร่วมสุขกับเสด็จพ่อมาโดยตลอด” 27โซโลมอนจึงทรงถอดอาบียาธาร์จากตำแหน่งปุโรหิตขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เป็นอันสำเร็จตามพระบัญชาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าที่ชิโลห์เกี่ยวกับวงศ์วานของเอลี
28ครั้นข่าวมาถึงโยอาบผู้สมคบกับอาโดนียาห์ แม้เมื่อก่อนไม่ได้คบคิดกับอับซาโลม โยอาบก็หนีไปที่พลับพลาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและจับเชิงงอนของแท่นบูชาไว้ 29มีผู้ไปทูลโซโลมอนว่าโยอาบหนีไปยังพลับพลาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและอยู่ข้างๆ แท่นบูชา โซโลมอนจึงตรัสสั่งเบไนยาห์บุตรเยโฮยาดาว่า “ไปประหารเขา!”
30เบไนยาห์ก็เข้าไปในพลับพลาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและกล่าวกับโยอาบว่า “กษัตริย์ตรัสสั่งให้ออกไป!”
แต่โยอาบตอบว่า “ไม่ เราจะตายที่นี่”
เบไนยาห์จึงกลับไปทูลกษัตริย์ตามที่โยอาบบอก
31กษัตริย์ตรัสสั่งเบไนยาห์ว่า “ทำอย่างที่เขาบอก ฆ่าเขาแล้วเอาไปฝัง ตัวเราและวงศ์วานของเสด็จพ่อจะได้พ้นจากมลทินที่เขาได้ฆ่าผู้บริสุทธิ์ 32องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะให้เขาเองรับผิดชอบที่ใช้ดาบฆ่าชายสองคนซึ่งดีกว่าและชอบธรรมกว่าเขา เพราะเสด็จพ่อของเราไม่ได้มีส่วนร่วมใดๆ กับความตายของอับเนอร์บุตรเนอร์แม่ทัพอิสราเอล และอามาสาบุตรเยเธอร์แม่ทัพยูดาห์ 33ขอให้โทษผิดจากโลหิตนั้นตกอยู่แก่โยอาบกับวงศ์วานตลอดไป ส่วนดาวิดกับวงศ์วาน ราชวงศ์ และราชบัลลังก์ ขอให้มีสันติสุขขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าสืบไปนิรันดร์”
34เบไนยาห์บุตรเยโฮยาดาจึงไปประหารโยอาบ ศพของโยอาบถูกฝังไว้ในที่ดินของตน ▼

ในถิ่นกันดาร 35กษัตริย์ทรงแต่งตั้งเบไนยาห์เป็นแม่ทัพแทนโยอาบ และให้ศาโดกเป็นปุโรหิตแทนอาบียาธาร์ 36กษัตริย์ทรงให้คนไปตามชิเมอีมา และตรัสกับเขาว่า “จงสร้างบ้านและอาศัยอยู่ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มนี้ อย่าไปที่อื่นใดเลย 37วันใดที่เจ้าออกไปพ้นหุบเขาขิดโรน เจ้าก็แน่ใจได้ว่าเจ้าจะต้องตาย และถือเป็นความผิดของเจ้าเอง”
38ชิเมอีทูลว่า “ฝ่าพระบาทตรัสชอบแล้ว ผู้รับใช้จะปฏิบัติตาม” ชิเมอีจึงอาศัยอยู่ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเป็นเวลานาน
39แต่สามปีต่อมา ทาสของชิเมอีสองคนหลบหนีไปเข้าเฝ้ากษัตริย์อาคีชโอรสของมาอาคาห์แห่งเมืองกัท เมื่อมีผู้มาบอกชิเมอีว่า “ทาสของท่านอยู่ที่เมืองกัท” 40เขาก็ขึ้นลาไปเข้าเฝ้าอาคีชที่เมืองกัทเพื่อตามหาทาสและนำตัวทาสกลับมาจากเมืองนั้น
41เมื่อโซโลมอนทราบว่าชิเมอีออกจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็มไปยังเมืองกัทและกลับมาแล้ว 42กษัตริย์ก็ให้ตามชิเมอีมา และตรัสกับเขาว่า “เราเตือนเจ้า และให้เจ้าสาบานในพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์แล้วไม่ใช่หรือว่า ‘วันใดที่เจ้าออกไปที่อื่นเจ้าจะต้องตาย’? เจ้าก็ตอบว่า ‘ฝ่าพระบาทตรัสชอบแล้ว ข้าพระบาทจะปฏิบัติตาม’ 43แล้วเหตุใดเจ้าจึงไม่ทำตามที่ปฏิญาณไว้ต่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและไม่ทำตามคำสั่งของเรา?”
44กษัตริย์ตรัสกับชิเมอีด้วยว่า “เจ้ารู้อยู่แก่ใจถึงความเลวร้ายทั้งสิ้นที่เจ้าทำไว้กับดาวิดราชบิดาของเรา บัดนี้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงคืนสนองความผิดที่เจ้าได้ทำ 45แต่กษัตริย์โซโลมอนจะได้รับพร และราชบัลลังก์ของดาวิดจะยั่งยืนมั่นคงต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตลอดไป”
46จากนั้นกษัตริย์ตรัสสั่งเบไนยาห์บุตรเยโฮยาดา เขาก็ออกไปประหารชิเมอี

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
