โซโลมอนทรงสร้างพระราชวัง
1แต่กษัตริย์โซโลมอนทรงใช้เวลาก่อสร้างพระราชวังของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้นสิบสามปี 2พระองค์ทรงสร้างพระตำหนักพนาเลบานอนยาว 100 ศอก ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 46 เมตร
กว้าง 50 ศอก ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 23 เมตร เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 6
สูง 30 ศอก ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 13.5 เมตร เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 6 และ 23
ใช้เสาไม้สนซีดาร์สี่แถวรองรับคานไม้สนซีดาร์ไว้ 3ทำหลังคาด้วยคานไม้สนซีดาร์ 45 อัน ซึ่งวางอยู่บนเสา โดยแบ่งวางเป็นแถว แถวละ 15 อัน 4มีหน้าต่างอยู่ด้านบนเรียงเป็นชุด ชุดละสามช่อง แต่ละชุดหันหน้าเข้าหากัน 5ประตูทุกบานเป็นกรอบทรงสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้า อยู่ด้านหน้าห้องโถงมีสามชุด ชุดละสามบานหันหน้าเข้าหากัน 6พระองค์ทรงสร้างระเบียงเสาหานยาว 50 ศอกและกว้าง 30 ศอก มีมุขด้านหน้าซึ่งมีเสาหานและหลังคาด้วย
7ทรงสร้างห้องบัลลังก์หรือท้องพระโรงวินิจฉัยเป็นที่ประทับตัดสินความ กรุด้วยไม้สนซีดาร์ตั้งแต่พื้นจนถึงเพดาน 8ถัดจากท้องพระโรงวินิจฉัยไปด้านหลัง พระองค์ทรงสร้างวังที่ประทับส่วนพระองค์และวังของมเหสีซึ่งเป็นธิดาของฟาโรห์ตามแบบท้องพระโรงวินิจฉัย
9ตัวอาคารเหล่านี้ทั้งหมดจากด้านนอกถึงลานใหญ่ และจากฐานรากถึงชายคาสร้างด้วยหินอย่างดี ซึ่งวัดให้ได้ขนาดก่อนที่จะสกัด และใช้เลื่อยแต่งทั้งด้านในและด้านนอก 10ฐานรากเป็นหินก้อนใหญ่คุณภาพดี มีขนาดหน้าตัด 8 ศอก ▼

13กษัตริย์โซโลมอนทรงให้นำชายคนหนึ่งชื่อหุราม ▼▼หรือฮีราม
มาจากเมืองไทระ 14มารดาของเขาเป็นหญิงม่ายจากเผ่านัฟทาลี ส่วนบิดาเป็นชาวเมืองไทระและเป็นช่างทองสัมฤทธิ์ หุรามเชี่ยวชาญและมีฝีมือในงานทองสัมฤทธิ์ทุกชนิด เขามาเข้าเฝ้าโซโลมอนและทำงานทุกอย่างที่ได้รับมอบหมาย 15หุรามหล่อเสาหานทองสัมฤทธิ์สองต้น แต่ละต้นสูง 18 ศอก ▼

เพื่อติดบนยอดเสาหาน 17มีตาข่ายโซ่ระย้าประดับหัวเสา เสาละเจ็ดสาย 18เขาทำผลทับทิมสองแถว ติดรอบโซ่ระย้าประดับหัวเสาทั้งสองต้น 19ส่วนหัวเสาหานที่มุขหน้าตกแต่งเป็นรูปดอกลิลลี่สูง 4 ศอก ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 1.8 เมตร เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 27 และ 38
20บนหัวเสาทั้งสองต้น เหนือบัวคว่ำ ถัดจากสร้อยระย้าขึ้นไปเป็นแถวผลทับทิมสองร้อยผลโดยรอบ 21เขาตั้งเสาหานทั้งสองไว้ที่มุขหน้าของพระวิหาร เสาทางใต้ตั้งชื่อว่ายาคีน ▼▼คงจะมีความหมายว่าพระองค์ทรงสถาปนาไว้
เสาทางเหนือตั้งชื่อว่าโบอาส ▼▼คงจะมีความหมายว่าในพระองค์คือกำลัง
22หัวเสามีรูปทรงเป็นดอกลิลลี่ เป็นอันว่างานเสาหานก็เสร็จเรียบร้อย 23หุรามหล่อขันสาครทรงกลมด้วยโลหะสูง 5 ศอก เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 10 ศอกและเส้นรอบวง 30 ศอก 24ใต้ขอบขันด้านนอกตกแต่งเป็นลายเครือเถาสองแถว ศอกละสิบรูป ▼
▼คือ สิบรูปทุกๆ 45 เซนติเมตร
หล่อเป็นเนื้อเดียวกันกับขันสาคร 25ขันสาครนี้ตั้งอยู่บนวัวทองสัมฤทธิ์สิบสองตัว หันหลังเข้าหากันตรงกลาง หันหน้าไปทางทิศเหนือ ใต้ ตะวันออก และตะวันตก ทิศละสามตัว 26ขันสาครหนาหนึ่งฝ่ามือ ▼

ปากขันเหมือนขอบถ้วยซึ่งเหมือนกับดอกลิลลี่บาน จุน้ำได้ประมาณ 44 กิโลลิตร ▼▼ภาษาฮีบรูว่า2,000 บัท
27หุรามยังทำแท่นเคลื่อนที่ด้วยทองสัมฤทธิ์สิบแท่น แต่ละแท่นกว้างยาว 4 ศอก สูง 3 ศอก ▼

28แท่นเหล่านี้สร้างขึ้นในลักษณะนี้คือ มีผนังที่ยึดติดอยู่กับกรอบในแนวตั้ง 29เขาสลักรูปสิงโต วัว และเครูบไว้บนกรอบและบนผนังนั้น ด้านบนและล่างของสิงโตและวัวเป็นลวดลายพวงมาลาที่สลักลายด้วยค้อน 30แต่ละแท่นมีล้อทองสัมฤทธิ์สี่ล้อและเพลาทองสัมฤทธิ์ แต่ละแท่นรองรับอ่างซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนที่หนุนทั้งสี่ ซึ่งหล่อขึ้นโดยมีพวงมาลาประดับแต่ละด้าน 31ภายในแท่นนี้มีช่องเปิดเป็นรูปทรงกลมลึก 1 ศอก ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 0.5 เมตร
วัดรอบช่องเปิดทรงกลมรวมฐานได้ 1 ศอกครึ่ง ▼▼คือ ประมาณ 0.7 เมตร เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 32
มีลายสลักรอบช่องเปิด ผนังของแท่นตั้งเป็นทรงสี่เหลี่ยมจัตุรัส ไม่ใช่วงกลม 32ล้อทั้งสี่อยู่ใต้ผนัง และเพลาล้อติดเข้ากับตัวแท่น เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางของล้อ 1 ศอกครึ่ง 33ล้อทำขึ้นคล้ายกับล้อรถรบ ทั้งเพลา ซี่ล้อ ขอบและดุมล้อล้วนหล่อขึ้นจากโลหะ 34แต่ละแท่นมีที่จับที่มุมทั้งสี่ มุมละอัน ยื่นออกมาจากแท่น 35ที่ด้านบนของแท่นมีปลอกทรงกลมลึกครึ่งศอก ▼

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
