เฮเซคียาห์ฉลองปัสกา
1เฮเซคียาห์ทรงแจ้งไปทั่วแดนอิสราเอลกับยูดาห์ และส่งสาส์นไปยังเอฟราอิมกับมนัสเสห์ เชื้อเชิญทุกคนให้มายังพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เพื่อฉลองเทศกาลปัสกาถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล 2กษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์ ข้าราชบริพาร และประชากรทั้งปวงในเยรูซาเล็มกำหนดให้ฉลองปัสกาในเดือนที่สอง 3พวกเขาไม่สามารถเฉลิมฉลองตามกำหนดเดิมได้ เพราะปุโรหิตที่ชำระตนแล้วมีไม่เพียงพอและประชาชนยังไม่ได้มาชุมนุมกันที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม 4กษัตริย์และเหล่าประชากรต่างเห็นชอบกับมตินี้ 5จึงมีการประกาศไปทั่วอิสราเอลจากเมืองเบเออร์เชบาจดเมืองดาน เชิญชวนทุกคนมาร่วมกันฉลองปัสกาถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เท่าที่มีบันทึกมายังไม่เคยมีคนมาร่วมฉลองกันมากมายเช่นนั้นเลย6ผู้ส่งข่าวนำพระราชสาส์นและสาส์นจากเหล่าข้าราชบริพารไปทั่วอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ตามพระบัญชาของกษัตริย์ ความว่า
“ประชากรอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงหันกลับมาหาพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของอับราฮัม อิสอัค และอิสราเอลเถิด เพื่อพระองค์จะทรงหันกลับมาหาท่านทั้งหลายที่เหลืออยู่ซึ่งรอดพ้นจากเงื้อมมือของเหล่ากษัตริย์อัสซีเรีย 7อย่าเป็นอย่างบรรพบุรุษและพี่น้องของท่านซึ่งไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษ จนพระองค์ทำให้พวกเขาเป็นที่น่าสยดสยองดังที่เห็นอยู่ 8อย่าดื้อด้านเหมือนบรรพบุรุษของท่าน จงยอมจำนนต่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า จงมายังสถานนมัสการซึ่งทรงชำระให้บริสุทธิ์เป็นนิตย์ จงปรนนิบัติพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของท่าน เพื่อพระพิโรธอันรุนแรงของพระองค์จะหันเหไปจากท่าน 9หากท่านหันกลับมาหาองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พี่น้องและลูกหลานของท่านจะได้รับความเมตตาเอ็นดูจากผู้ที่จับเขาไปเป็นเชลย และจะกลับมายังดินแดนแห่งนี้อีก เพราะพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงเปี่ยมด้วยพระคุณและพระเมตตา พระองค์จะไม่ทรงเบือนพระพักตร์ไปจากท่าน หากท่านหันกลับมาหาพระองค์”
10ผู้ส่งข่าวเดินทางจากเมืองหนึ่งไปอีกเมืองหนึ่งทั่วแดนเอฟราอิมกับมนัสเสห์และไปไกลถึงเศบูลุน แต่ถูกประชาชนเยาะเย้ยเหยียดหยาม 11แต่มีบางคนจากเผ่าอาเชอร์ มนัสเสห์ และเศบูลุน ถ่อมใจลงและมายังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม 12ในขณะเดียวกันพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้าก็อยู่เหนือประชาชนในยูดาห์ ทำให้พวกเขาพร้อมใจกันทำตามคำสั่งของกษัตริย์และข้าราชบริพารซึ่งเป็นไปตามพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
13ประชากรมากมายหลั่งไหลมาชุมนุมกันที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็มในเดือนที่สอง เพื่อฉลองเทศกาลขนมปังไม่ใส่เชื้อ 14พวกเขารื้อแท่นบูชาทั้งหลายในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มกับแท่นเผาเครื่องหอมต่างๆ และนำไปทิ้งในหุบเขาขิดโรน

21ชนอิสราเอลที่อยู่กันพร้อมหน้าในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มจึงฉลองเทศกาลขนมปังไม่ใส่เชื้อตลอดเจ็ดวันด้วยความชื่นชมยินดีอย่างใหญ่หลวง ฝ่ายคนเลวีและบรรดาปุโรหิตก็ร้องเพลงถวายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทุกวัน คลอกับเสียงเครื่องดนตรีที่ใช้สรรเสริญองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
22เฮเซคียาห์ตรัสให้กำลังใจคนเลวีทั้งปวงที่ได้รับใช้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าอย่างดี พวกเขารับประทานอาหารส่วนของตน ถวายเครื่องสันติบูชา และสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษตลอดเจ็ดวัน
23แล้วประชากรทั้งปวงเห็นพ้องต้องกันว่าจะฉลองเทศกาลต่อไปอีกเจ็ดวัน จึงมีการฉลองต่อไปอีกเจ็ดวันด้วยความชื่นชมยินดี 24กษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์แห่งยูดาห์ประทานวัวผู้หนึ่งพันตัวกับแกะและแพะเจ็ดพันตัวแก่ชุมนุมประชากร เหล่าข้าราชบริพารมอบวัวผู้หนึ่งพันตัวกับแกะและแพะหนึ่งหมื่นตัว ปุโรหิตจำนวนมากชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์ 25ประชากรยูดาห์ทั้งปวงร่วมกับบรรดาปุโรหิต คนเลวี และคนทั้งหลายจากอิสราเอล รวมทั้งคนต่างด้าวที่มาจากอิสราเอลและที่อาศัยอยู่ในยูดาห์ต่างพากันชื่นชมยินดี 26มีความเปรมปรีดิ์ใหญ่หลวงในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เพราะไม่เคยมีพิธีฉลองอย่างนี้เลยตั้งแต่สมัยกษัตริย์โซโลมอนโอรสกษัตริย์ดาวิดแห่งอิสราเอล 27ปุโรหิตและคนเลวียืนอวยพรเหล่าประชากร พระเจ้าทรงสดับฟังพวกเขาเพราะคำอธิษฐานของเขาเหล่านั้นขึ้นไปถึงฟ้าสวรรค์ที่ประทับอันบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
