1 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงสกัดศิลาอีกสองแผ่นเช่นเดียวกับชุดแรกเพื่อเราจะจารึกข้อความเดิมเหมือนในแผ่นเก่าที่เจ้าทำแตกไปแล้ว 2พรุ่งนี้เช้าจงเตรียมตัวให้พร้อมและขึ้นมาพบเราบนยอดเขาซีนาย 3อย่าให้ใครมาด้วยและห้ามผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดขึ้นมาบนภูเขา แม้แต่ฝูงสัตว์ก็อย่าปล่อยให้มากินหญ้าใกล้ๆ ภูเขา”4ดังนั้นโมเสสจึงสกัดศิลาสองแผ่นตามแบบชุดแรกและขึ้นไปบนภูเขาซีนายตั้งแต่เช้าตามที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงบัญชา เขาถือศิลาสองแผ่นนั้นขึ้นไปด้วย 5แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเสด็จลงมาในเมฆและประทับอยู่ที่นั่นกับโมเสส และประกาศพระนามของพระองค์คือพระยาห์เวห์ 6พระองค์เสด็จผ่านหน้าโมเสสไปพร้อมทั้งประกาศว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าผู้เปี่ยมด้วยความเมตตากรุณาและพระคุณ ทรงกริ้วช้า บริบูรณ์ด้วยความรักมั่นคงและความซื่อสัตย์ 7ผู้แสดงความรักมั่นคงต่อคนนับพันชั่วอายุ โดยให้อภัยความชั่วร้าย การกบฏ และบาป แต่พระองค์จะไม่ทรงละเว้นโทษผู้กระทำผิด พระองค์จะทรงลงโทษลูกหลานของเขาเพราะบาปของบรรพบุรุษถึงสามสี่ชั่วอายุคน”
8โมเสสจึงหมอบลงกับพื้นทันทีและนมัสการ 9เขาทูลวิงวอนว่า “พระองค์เจ้าข้า หากข้าพระองค์เป็นที่โปรดปรานในสายพระเนตรของพระองค์ ขอโปรดเสด็จไปกับข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย แม้ว่าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายเป็นชนชาติที่ดื้อรั้น ขอทรงอภัยโทษความชั่วร้ายและบาปของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย และขอทรงรับข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายเป็นมรดกของพระองค์”
10แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า “เราจะทำพันธสัญญากับเจ้าดังนี้คือ เราจะทำการอัศจรรย์ต่อหน้าชนชาติของเจ้าอย่างที่ไม่เคยทำต่อชนชาติใดในโลกมาก่อน ชนชาติที่เจ้าอยู่ด้วยจะเห็นกิจการอันน่าสะพรึงกลัวที่เราผู้เป็นพระยาห์เวห์จะทำเพื่อเจ้า 11จงปฏิบัติตามสิ่งที่เราสั่งเจ้าไว้ในวันนี้ เราจะขับไล่ชาวอาโมไรต์ ชาวคานาอัน ชาวฮิตไทต์ ชาวเปริสซี ชาวฮีไวต์ และชาวเยบุสออกไปให้พ้นหน้าเจ้า 12จงระวังให้ดี อย่าทำสนธิสัญญาใดๆ กับชาวดินแดนที่เจ้าจะไปถึงนั้น มิฉะนั้นพวกเขาจะเป็นบ่วงดักเจ้า 13จงรื้อทำลายแท่นบูชาของเขา จงทุบทำลายศิลาศักดิ์สิทธิ์และโค่นเสาเจ้าแม่อาเชราห์ ▼

ของเขาทิ้งให้หมด 14อย่านมัสการพระอื่นใด เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้ทรงพระนามว่า ‘หึงหวง’ เป็นพระเจ้าผู้ทรงหึงหวง 15“จงระวัง อย่าทำสนธิสัญญาใดๆ กับชาวดินแดนนั้น เพราะเมื่อเขาทำตัวแพศยากับพระของเขาและเซ่นสังเวยแก่พระเหล่านั้น เขาจะชวนเจ้าไปร่วม และเจ้าจะกินของเซ่นสังเวยของเขา 16และเมื่อเจ้าเลือกบุตรสาวของพวกเขามาเป็นบุตรสะใภ้ บุตรชายของเจ้าก็จะถูกชักนำให้ตามอย่างภรรยา ทำตัวแพศยานอกใจเรา หันไปหาพระเหล่านั้น

19“บุตรชายหัวปีและสัตว์หัวปีตัวผู้ทั้งหมดเป็นของเรา ไม่ว่าวัว ลา แพะ แกะ 20ลูกลาหัวปีนั้นให้เอาลูกแกะมาไถ่คืนไป แต่ถ้าไม่ไถ่ จงหักคอลูกลาเสีย แต่บุตรชายหัวปีของเจ้าจะต้องไถ่ไว้ทุกคน
“อย่าให้ผู้ใดมาหาเรามือเปล่าเลย
21“จงทำงานเพียงหกวันและหยุดพักในวันที่เจ็ด แม้ในช่วงไถหว่านและเก็บเกี่ยวก็ต้องหยุดพัก
22“จงฉลองเทศกาลแห่งสัปดาห์ด้วยผลิตผลแรกสุดของการเก็บเกี่ยวข้าวสาลีและเทศกาลรวบรวมผลผลิตในปลายปี ▼

23ชายอิสราเอลทุกคนจะต้องมาปรากฏตัวต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลปีละสามครั้ง 24เมื่อเจ้ามาเข้าเฝ้าพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้าปีละสามครั้งนั้น จะไม่มีผู้ใดมาโลภชิงดินแดนของเจ้า เราจะขับไล่ชนชาติทั้งหลายออกไปต่อหน้าเจ้าและขยายพรมแดนของเจ้าออกไป 25“อย่าถวายเลือดของเครื่องบูชาแก่เราพร้อมกับสิ่งใดๆ ที่ใส่เชื้อ และอย่าให้เครื่องบูชาของพิธีปัสกานั้นเหลือค้างจนถึงรุ่งเช้า
26“จงนำส่วนที่ดีที่สุดของผลิตผลรุ่นแรกจากแผ่นดินของเจ้ามายังพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า
“อย่าต้มลูกแพะในน้ำนมแม่ของมัน”
27แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงเขียนข้อความเหล่านี้ไว้ เพราะเราได้ทำพันธสัญญากับเจ้าและกับอิสราเอลตามนี้” 28โมเสสเข้าเฝ้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นเวลาสี่สิบวันสี่สิบคืน ไม่ได้กินหรือดื่มอะไรเลย และเขาจารึกข้อความแห่งพันธสัญญาคือ พระบัญญัติสิบประการลงบนแผ่นศิลาทั้งสองนั้น

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
