ภัยพิบัติที่เกิดกับฝูงสัตว์
1 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงไปหาฟาโรห์และกล่าวกับเขาว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของชนฮีบรูตรัสว่า “จงปล่อยประชากรของเราไปเพื่อพวกเขาจะได้นมัสการเรา” 2หากเจ้าไม่ยอมปล่อยพวกเขาไปและยังคงหน่วงเหนี่ยวไว้ 3พระหัตถ์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะนำภัยพิบัติอันน่าสะพรึงกลัวมาสู่ฝูงสัตว์ของเจ้าในท้องทุ่ง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นฝูงม้า ลา อูฐ วัว แกะและแพะ 4แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทำให้เกิดความแตกต่างระหว่างฝูงสัตว์ของอิสราเอลกับของอียิปต์ เพื่อว่าสัตว์ของชาวอิสราเอลจะไม่ตายแม้แต่ตัวเดียว’ ”5 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงกำหนดเวลาและตรัสว่า “ในวันพรุ่งนี้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทำสิ่งนี้ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์” 6และองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็ทรงกระทำเช่นนั้นในวันต่อมา ฝูงสัตว์ของชาวอียิปต์พากันล้มตายหมด ส่วนฝูงสัตว์ของอิสราเอลไม่ตายแม้แต่ตัวเดียว 7ฟาโรห์ส่งคนไปตรวจสอบและพบว่าสัตว์ของอิสราเอลไม่ตายเลยสักตัว แต่ฟาโรห์ก็ยังคงมีพระทัยแข็งกระด้างและไม่ยอมปล่อยประชากรอิสราเอลไป

8 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า “จงกอบเขม่าจากเตาขึ้นมาและให้โมเสสซัดขึ้นไปในอากาศต่อหน้าฟาโรห์ 9เขม่านั้นจะกลายเป็นฝุ่นละเอียดฟุ้งตลบไปทั่วดินแดนอียิปต์ ทำให้เกิดฝีแตกลามตามตัวผู้คนและสัตว์ทั่วแผ่นดิน”10ดังนั้นเขาทั้งสองจึงนำเขม่าจากเตาไปเข้าเฝ้าฟาโรห์ แล้วโมเสสก็ซัดเขม่าขึ้นไปในอากาศ ทำให้เกิดเป็นฝีแตกลามทั่วตัวคนและสัตว์ 11บรรดานักเล่นอาคมไม่อาจยืนสู้หน้าโมเสสได้ เพราะฝีขึ้นที่ตัวพวกเขาเหมือนชาวอียิปต์ทั้งปวงด้วย 12แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงกระทำให้ฟาโรห์มีพระทัยแข็งกระด้างไม่ยอมฟังโมเสสและอาโรน ดังที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ตรัสไว้กับโมเสส
ภัยพิบัติจากลูกเห็บ
13 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงตื่นแต่เช้ามืดไปเข้าเฝ้าฟาโรห์และบอกเขาว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของชนฮีบรูตรัสดังนี้ว่า จงปล่อยประชากรของเราไปเพื่อพวกเขาจะได้นมัสการเรา 14มิฉะนั้นครั้งนี้เราจะส่งภัยพิบัติอย่างรุนแรงมายังเจ้า ข้าราชการและราษฎรของเจ้า เพื่อเจ้าจะได้รู้ว่าทั่วพิภพนี้ไม่มีผู้ใดเสมอเหมือนเรา 15แม้ในขณะนี้เราจะเหยียดมือออกทำลายเจ้าและประชากรของเจ้าด้วยภัยพิบัติที่จะกวาดล้างเจ้าจากแผ่นดินโลกก็ได้ 16แต่เราได้ยกเจ้าให้เป็นใหญ่ ▼▼หรือเราได้ไว้ชีวิตเจ้า
ก็เพื่อจุดประสงค์ข้อนี้เอง คือเพื่อเราจะได้สำแดงฤทธิ์อำนาจของเราแก่เจ้า และเพื่อนามของเราจะเลื่องลือไปทั่วโลก 17เจ้ายังตั้งตัวเป็นศัตรูกับประชากรของเราและไม่ยอมปล่อยพวกเขาไป 18เพราะฉะนั้นในวันพรุ่งนี้เวลานี้ เราจะส่งพายุลูกเห็บมากระหน่ำอียิปต์อย่างรุนแรงที่สุด อย่างที่ไม่เคยเกิดขึ้นมาก่อนนับตั้งแต่ก่อตั้งประเทศมา 19ฉะนั้นเจ้าจงสั่งให้ต้อนฝูงสัตว์และนำทุกสิ่งที่เจ้ามีในท้องทุ่งเข้าที่กำบัง เพราะคนหรือสัตว์ใดๆ ที่ยังคงอยู่นอกชายคาจะถูกลูกเห็บซัดถึงตาย’ ” 20เหล่าข้าราชการของฟาโรห์ที่เกรงกลัวพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ารีบนำข้าทาสและฝูงสัตว์เข้ามาอยู่ใต้ชายคา 21ส่วนคนที่ไม่ใส่ใจพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็ปล่อยข้าทาสบริวารและฝูงสัตว์ไว้ในท้องทุ่ง
22แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงชูมือขึ้นฟ้าเพื่อจะมีลูกเห็บตกทั่วดินแดนอียิปต์ ตกลงมาบนผู้คน สัตว์ และบนพืชพันธุ์ทั้งหมดที่อยู่ในท้องทุ่งของอียิปต์” 23เมื่อโมเสสชูไม้เท้าขึ้นสู่ท้องฟ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงบันดาลให้เกิดฟ้าแลบฟ้าร้อง ฟ้าผ่าและพายุลูกเห็บตกลงมา ดังนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงกระทำให้พายุลูกเห็บตกลงในดินแดนอียิปต์ 24ลูกเห็บตกลงมาและมีฟ้าแลบฟ้าร้อง พายุในคราวนี้ร้ายแรงที่สุดในอียิปต์ตั้งแต่สร้างชาติมา 25ลูกเห็บตกลงมาทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ กระหน่ำใส่ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างที่อยู่กลางแจ้งทั้งคนและสัตว์ ทำลายพืชพันธุ์ทั้งสิ้นในท้องทุ่งและต้นไม้ทุกต้นหักโค่น 26เว้นแต่ดินแดนโกเชนซึ่งชาวอิสราเอลอาศัยอยู่ ไม่มีลูกเห็บตกเลย
27แล้วฟาโรห์เรียกโมเสสกับอาโรนให้มาเข้าเฝ้าและตรัสกับเขาว่า “คราวนี้เราได้ทำบาป องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเป็นฝ่ายถูก เราและประชาชนของเราเป็นฝ่ายผิด 28ช่วยวิงวอนองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าให้หยุดฟ้าคะนองและพายุลูกเห็บเถิด แล้วเราจะปล่อยพวกเจ้าไปทันที พวกเจ้าไม่ต้องอยู่อีกต่อไป”
29โมเสสทูลว่า “เมื่อข้าพระบาทออกจากเมืองไปแล้ว ข้าพระบาทจะชูมืออธิษฐานต่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแล้วฟ้าคะนองและลูกเห็บก็จะหยุด เพื่อฝ่าพระบาทจะได้ทรงทราบว่าโลกนี้เป็นขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 30แต่ข้าพระบาทก็ทราบว่าฝ่าพระบาทกับข้าราชการจะยังคงไม่ยำเกรงพระเจ้าพระยาห์เวห์”
31(ต้นป่านและข้าวบาร์เลย์ถูกทำลายย่อยยับ เพราะข้าวบาร์เลย์ชูรวงแล้วและต้นป่านก็กำลังออกดอก 32แต่ข้าวสาลีและข้าวสแปลต์ไม่ถูกทำลายไป เพราะสุกช้ากว่า)
33แล้วโมเสสจึงทูลลาฟาโรห์ออกไปนอกเมือง เขาชูมือขึ้นฟ้าทูลขอองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพายุฟ้าคะนอง และลูกเห็บก็หยุด ฝนก็หยุดตก 34เมื่อฟาโรห์เห็นทุกอย่างสงบลงแล้ว พระองค์ก็ทำบาปอีก คือพระองค์และข้าราชการของพระองค์ทำใจแข็งกระด้าง 35เป็นอันว่าฟาโรห์มีพระทัยแข็งกระด้างไม่ยอมให้ประชากรอิสราเอลออกไป เป็นจริงตามที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ตรัสผ่านโมเสสไว้แล้ว

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
