23“วิบัติแก่เจ้า เหล่าธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี เจ้าคนหน้าซื่อใจคด! เจ้าถวายสิบลดของเครื่องเทศของเจ้า คือสะระแหน่ ลูกผักชี และยี่หร่า แต่ละเลยเรื่องที่สำคัญกว่านั้นในบทบัญญัติ คือความยุติธรรม ความเมตตา และความสัตย์ซื่อ เจ้าควรปฏิบัติอย่างหลังโดยไม่ละเลยอย่างแรก 24เจ้าคนนำทางตาบอด! เจ้ากรองลูกน้ำออกแต่กลืนอูฐทั้งตัวเข้าไป

27“วิบัติแก่เจ้า เหล่าธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี เจ้าคนหน้าซื่อใจคด! เจ้าเป็นเหมือนอุโมงค์ฝังศพฉาบปูนขาว ภายนอกแลดูสวยงามแต่ภายในเต็มไปด้วยซากกระดูกและสิ่งโสโครกทั้งปวง 28ในทำนองเดียวกันเปลือกนอกผู้คนมองว่าเจ้าชอบธรรม แต่ภายในเต็มไปด้วยความหน้าซื่อใจคดและความชั่วร้าย
29“วิบัติแก่เจ้า เหล่าธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี เจ้าคนหน้าซื่อใจคด! เจ้าสร้างอุโมงค์ฝังศพให้เหล่าผู้เผยพระวจนะและตกแต่งหลุมศพของผู้ชอบธรรม 30และเจ้าพูดว่า ‘ถ้าเราอยู่ในสมัยเดียวกับบรรพบุรุษ เราจะไม่ร่วมในการเข่นฆ่าผู้เผยพระวจนะเลย’ 31นั่นคือเจ้ายืนยันตัวเองว่าเจ้าเป็นลูกหลานของคนที่สังหารผู้เผยพระวจนะ 32เช่นนั้นแล้วจงสานต่อบาปของบรรพบุรุษของเจ้าให้ถึงที่สุดเถิด!

37“โอ เยรูซาเล็ม เยรูซาเล็มเอ๋ย เจ้าผู้เข่นฆ่าเหล่าผู้เผยพระวจนะและเอาหินขว้างบรรดาผู้ที่ทรงส่งมาหาเจ้า เราปรารถนาอยู่เนืองๆ ที่จะรวบรวมลูกๆ ของเจ้ามาเหมือนแม่ไก่ที่กกลูกๆ ไว้ใต้ปีก แต่เจ้าไม่ยอมเลย 38ดูเถิด นิเวศของเจ้าถูกทิ้งร้าง 39เพราะเราบอกเจ้าว่าเจ้าจะไม่ได้เห็นเราอีกจนกว่าเจ้าจะพูดว่า ‘สรรเสริญพระองค์ผู้เสด็จมาในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ f”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
