คำอุปมาเรื่องหญิงพรหมจารีสิบคน
1“ครั้งนั้นอาณาจักรสวรรค์จะเป็นเหมือนหญิงพรหมจารีสิบคนถือตะเกียงออกไปรับเจ้าบ่าว 2มีคนโง่ห้าคน คนฉลาดห้าคน 3คนโง่เอาตะเกียงไป แต่ไม่ได้เอาน้ำมันไปด้วย 4ส่วนคนฉลาดเอาน้ำมันใส่กาถือไปพร้อมตะเกียง 5เป็นเวลานานกว่าเจ้าบ่าวจะมา ทั้งสิบคนจึงง่วงและหลับไป6“พอเที่ยงคืนก็มีเสียงร้องขึ้นว่า ‘เจ้าบ่าวมาแล้ว! ออกมารับเถิด!’
7“แล้วหญิงพรหมจารีทั้งสิบคนจึงตื่นขึ้นแต่งไส้ตะเกียง 8พวกที่โง่พูดกับพวกที่ฉลาดว่า ‘แบ่งน้ำมันให้เราสักหน่อย ตะเกียงของเราจวนจะดับแล้ว’
9“พวกฉลาดตอบว่า ‘ไม่ได้หรอก น้ำมันไม่พอสำหรับทั้งเราและท่าน ไปซื้อจากคนขายน้ำมันเองเถิด’
10“ขณะกำลังไปซื้ออยู่นั้นเจ้าบ่าวก็มาถึง หญิงพรหมจารีที่พร้อมอยู่ก็ไปงานเลี้ยงพร้อมกับเจ้าบ่าวและประตูก็ปิด
11“หลังจากนั้นอีกห้าคนก็มาร้องเรียก ‘ท่านเจ้าข้า! ท่านเจ้าข้า! เปิดประตูให้เราด้วย’
12“แต่เขาตอบว่า ‘เราบอกความจริงแก่เจ้าว่าเราไม่รู้จักเจ้าเลย’
13“ฉะนั้นจงเฝ้าระวังอยู่เพราะท่านไม่รู้ว่าเป็นวันใดหรือเวลาใด
คำอุปมาเรื่องเงินตะลันต์
14“และอาณาจักรสวรรค์ยังเปรียบเหมือนชายคนหนึ่งจะออกเดินทาง จึงเรียกคนรับใช้มามอบหมายทรัพย์สินให้ดูแล 15เขาให้เงินคนหนึ่งห้าตะลันต์ ▼▼1 ตะลันต์มีค่าเท่ากับค่าแรง 20 ปี
คนหนึ่งสองตะลันต์และอีกคนหนึ่งตะลันต์เดียว ตามความสามารถของแต่ละคนแล้วเขาก็ไป 16คนที่ได้รับห้าตะลันต์นำเงินไปลงทุนทันทีและได้กำไรมาอีกห้าตะลันต์ 17คนที่รับสองตะลันต์ก็เช่นกันได้กำไรมาอีกสองตะลันต์ 18ส่วนคนที่ได้รับตะลันต์เดียวไปขุดหลุมเอาเงินของนายซ่อนไว้ 19“อีกนานหลังจากนั้นนายก็กลับมาและสะสางบัญชีกับคนรับใช้ 20คนที่ได้รับห้าตะลันต์นำอีกห้าตะลันต์มาเรียนว่า ‘นายเจ้าข้า! ท่านให้ไว้ห้าตะลันต์ ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าได้กำไรมาอีกห้าตะลันต์’
21“เจ้านายของเขาตอบว่า ‘ดีมาก เจ้าเป็นบ่าวที่ดีและสัตย์ซื่อ! เจ้าสัตย์ซื่อในของเล็กน้อย เราจะตั้งเจ้าให้ดูแลของมาก มาร่วมยินดีในความสุขกับนายของเจ้าเถิด!’
22“คนที่ได้รับสองตะลันต์ก็มาเรียนว่า ‘นายเจ้าข้า ท่านให้ไว้สองตะลันต์ ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าได้กำไรมาอีกสองตะลันต์’
23“เจ้านายของเขาตอบว่า ‘ดีมาก เจ้าเป็นบ่าวที่ดีและสัตย์ซื่อ! เจ้าสัตย์ซื่อในของเล็กน้อย เราจะตั้งเจ้าให้ดูแลของมาก มาร่วมยินดีในความสุขกับนายของเจ้าเถิด!’
24“แล้วคนที่ได้รับตะลันต์เดียวมาเรียนว่า ‘นายเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้ารู้ว่าท่านเป็นคนใจแข็งซึ่งเก็บเกี่ยวสิ่งที่ท่านไม่ได้เพาะปลูกและรวบรวมผลที่ท่านไม่ได้หว่าน 25ข้าพเจ้ากลัวจึงเอาเงินไปซ่อนไว้ในดิน ดูเถิด นี่คือเงินของท่าน’
26“เจ้านายของเขาตอบว่า ‘ไอ้บ่าวเลวแสนขี้เกียจ! เจ้าก็รู้ว่าเราเก็บเกี่ยวสิ่งที่เราไม่ได้เพาะปลูกและรวบรวมผลที่เราไม่ได้หว่าน 27เช่นนั้นแล้วก็น่าจะเอาเงินของเราไปฝากธนาคารไว้ เพื่อเวลาที่เรากลับมา เราจะได้เงินคืนพร้อมดอกเบี้ยด้วย
28“ ‘จงริบเงินหนึ่งตะลันต์นี้ไปให้คนที่มีสิบตะลันต์ 29เพราะทุกคนที่มีจะได้รับเพิ่มและเขาจะมีเหลือเฟือ ส่วนผู้ที่ไม่มี แม้ที่เขามีอยู่ก็จะถูกริบไปจากเขา 30โยนไอ้บ่าวไร้ค่าคนนั้นออกไปที่มืดข้างนอกที่ซึ่งจะมีการร่ำไห้และขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน’

31“เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาด้วยพระเกียรติสิริของพระองค์พร้อมด้วยทูตสวรรค์ทั้งหมด พระองค์จะประทับบนบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ด้วยพระเกียรติสิริแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ 32มวลประชาชาติจะมาชุมนุมกันต่อหน้าพระองค์ และพระองค์จะทรงแยกประชากรออกจากกันเหมือนคนเลี้ยงแยกแกะออกจากแพะ 33แกะนั้นจะทรงให้อยู่เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ ส่วนแพะอยู่เบื้องซ้าย34“แล้วองค์ราชันจะตรัสกับบรรดาผู้ที่อยู่เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ว่า ‘ท่านผู้ได้รับพรจากพระบิดาของเรามารับมรดกของท่านเถิด คืออาณาจักรที่เตรียมไว้สำหรับท่านตั้งแต่ทรงสร้างโลก 35เพราะเมื่อเราหิวท่านก็ให้เรากิน เรากระหายท่านก็ให้เราดื่ม เราเป็นคนแปลกหน้า ท่านก็ต้อนรับเราไว้ 36เราต้องการเครื่องนุ่งห่ม ท่านก็ให้เรา เราเจ็บป่วยท่านก็ดูแล เราอยู่ในคุกท่านก็มาเยี่ยม’
37“แล้วผู้ชอบธรรมจะทูลพระองค์ว่า ‘พระองค์เจ้าข้า เมื่อใดกันที่ข้าพระองค์เห็นพระองค์ทรงหิวและได้เลี้ยงดูพระองค์ หรือเห็นพระองค์ทรงกระหายและได้ให้พระองค์ทรงดื่ม? 38เมื่อใดกันที่ข้าพระองค์เห็นพระองค์เป็นคนแปลกหน้าและได้ต้อนรับไว้ หรือถวายฉลองพระองค์เมื่อทรงประสงค์? 39เมื่อใดกันที่ข้าพระองค์เห็นพระองค์ประชวรหรืออยู่ในคุกและได้ไปเยี่ยมพระองค์?’
40“องค์ราชันจะตรัสตอบว่า ‘เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่าสิ่งใดที่ท่านทำให้แก่ผู้เล็กน้อยที่สุดคนหนึ่งในพวกพี่น้องของเรา ท่านก็ได้ทำให้เราด้วย’
41“แล้วพระองค์จะตรัสกับบรรดาผู้ที่อยู่เบื้องซ้ายของพระองค์ว่า ‘จงไปเสียจากเรา เจ้าทั้งหลายผู้ถูกสาปแช่ง จงไปยังไฟนิรันดร์ที่เตรียมไว้สำหรับมารร้ายกับสมุนของมัน 42เพราะเมื่อเราหิว เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ให้เรากิน เรากระหาย เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ให้เราดื่ม 43เราเป็นคนแปลกหน้ามา เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ต้อนรับ เราต้องการเครื่องนุ่งห่ม เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ให้ เราเจ็บป่วยและอยู่ในคุก เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ดูแล’

45“พระองค์จะตรัสตอบว่า ‘เราบอกความจริงแก่เจ้าว่าสิ่งใดที่เจ้าไม่ได้ทำให้แก่ผู้เล็กน้อยที่สุดคนหนึ่งในคนเหล่านี้ เจ้าก็ไม่ได้ทำให้เราด้วย’
46“แล้วคนเหล่านี้ก็ต้องออกไปรับโทษนิรันดร์ แต่ผู้ชอบธรรมจะเข้าสู่ชีวิตนิรันดร์”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
