1Đây là khải tượng của Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao hiển lộ cho Áp-đia thấy về xứ Ê-đôm.Loan Báo Đoán Phạt Ê-đôm
Chúng tôi đã nghe một sứ điệp từ nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu rằngmột sứ giả được sai đến với các dân tộc và kêu gọi:
“Hãy vùng dậy, hỡi mọi người!
Chúng ta hãy đem quân tấn công Ê-đôm!”
2 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán về Ê-đôm:
“Ê-đôm, Ta sẽ làm cho ngươi nhỏ bé giữa các nước;
ngươi sẽ bị mọi người khinh rẻ.
3 Vì kiêu ngạo nên ngươi đã tự lừa dối mình
vì ngươi ở giữa những vầng đá
và nhà ngươi trên núi cao.
Ngươi khoác lác hỏi rằng:
‘Ai có thể xô ta xuống đất được?’
4 Dù ngươi bay cao như đại bàng
và làm tổ giữa các ngôi sao,
Ta cũng xô ngươi xuống.”
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy.
5 “Dù bọn trộm cướp xông vào giữa đêm và cướp bóc ngươi,
(thảm họa nào đang chờ ngươi!),
chúng cũng không lấy sạch tất cả.
Dù bọn ăn cắp vào càn quét vườn nho ngươi,
chúng cũng để sót vài chùm cho người nghèo.
Nhưng kẻ thù ngươi thì quét sạch ngươi!
6 Mọi góc xó và ngõ ngách của Ê-sau
sẽ bị lục soát rất kỹ.
Tất cả các bảo vật cất giấu đều bị khám phá và cướp hết.
7 Tất cả nước đồng minh ngươi sẽ phản bội ngươi.
Chúng sẽ đuổi dân ngươi ra khỏi đất nước ngươi.
Chúng hứa hẹn cho ngươi được bình an
nhưng trong lòng thì âm mưu lừa gạt và tiêu diệt ngươi.
Những bạn ngươi tin cậy sẽ gài bẫy hại ngươi,
ngươi chẳng hề hay biết.
8 Trong ngày ấy, sẽ không một người khôn ngoan nào
còn lại trong cả xứ Ê-đôm,”
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy.
“Vì trên các núi của Ê-sau
Ta sẽ tiêu diệt những người có tri thức.
9 Các dũng sĩ can trường của Thê-man
sẽ hoang mang sợ hãi,
và mọi người trên núi Ê-sau
đều sẽ bỏ mạng trong cuộc tàn sát.”

10 “Vì ngươi đã đối xử tàn bạo
với anh em ngươi là Gia-cốp,
nên ngươi bị sỉ nhục
để rồi bị loại trừ vĩnh viễn.
11 Khi họ bị quân địch xâm lăng,
ngươi chỉ đứng từ xa, không chịu giúp đỡ họ.
Quân ngoại xâm lấy đi mọi tài sản của họ
và bắt thăm chia đất trong Giê-ru-sa-lem,
còn ngươi thì hành động như kẻ thù của Ít-ra-ên.
12 Lẽ ra, ngươi không nên nhìn hả hê
khi chúng lưu đày anh em ngươi đến những xứ xa xôi.
Ngươi không nên reo mừng
khi người Giu-đa chịu bất hạnh như vậy.
Ngươi không nên há miệng tự cao
trong ngày nó bị hoạn nạn.
13 Lẽ ra, ngươi không nên tước đoạt đất của Ít-ra-ên
khi họ đang chịu tai ương như thế.
Ngươi không nên hả hê nhìn họ bị tàn phá
khi họ đang chịu khốn khó.
Ngươi không nên chiếm đoạt tài sản của họ
trong ngày họ đang chịu tai họa.
14 Lẽ ra, ngươi đừng chặn các thông lộ
để giết các đào binh.
Ngươi không nên bắt những người sống sót
và giao nạp họ trong ngày đại họa.”

15 “Ngày đã gần kề khi Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu,
sẽ xét xử mọi dân tộc vô thần.
Ngươi đối xử với Ít-ra-ên thể nào,
người ta sẽ đối xử với ngươi thể ấy.
Tất cả việc làm gian ác của ngươi
sẽ bị báo trả đích đáng trên đầu người.
16 Ngươi đã nhai nuốt dân Ta
trên núi thánh Ta thể nào,
thì ngươi và các dân tộc chung quanh
cũng sẽ nhai nuốt hình phạt mà Ta đổ trên ngươi.
Đúng vậy, tất cả dân tộc sẽ uống và say khướt
rồi biến mất khỏi lịch sử.”
17 Nhưng Núi Si-ôn sẽ là nơi trú ẩn cho người chạy trốn;
núi ấy sẽ được thánh hóa.
Và nhà Gia-cốp sẽ trở lại
để được nhận sản nghiệp mình.
18 Nhà Gia-cốp sẽ thành đám lửa
và Ê-sau sẽ như cánh đồng rơm khô héo.
Con cháu Giô-sép sẽ thành ngọn lửa
ầm ầm băng qua đồng, thiêu đốt mọi thứ.
Nhà Ê-sau sẽ không có một người nào sống sót.
Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã phán vậy!
19 Dân Ta đang sống tại Nê-ghép
sẽ chiếm giữ các núi của Ê-sau.
Những người sống tại Sơ-phê-la
sẽ trấn đóng đất Phi-li-tin
và sẽ chiếm giữ các đồng ruộng Ép-ra-im và Sa-ma-ri.
Và những người Bên-gia-min
sẽ được đất Ga-la-át.
20 Những người bị lưu đày của Ít-ra-ên sẽ trở về vùng đất của họ
và chiếm giữ vùng duyên hải Phê-nê-nia ▼

Và vương quốc ấy sẽ thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
